Matt started his career early in California working for his dad's construction business for 7 years, which started his interest in Real Estate. His Grandfather was a Broker/Owner/Developer in Southern CA, so the draw to Real Estate came naturally. He has his BS in Business Management/Information Management from Brigham Young University and spent 11 years in the Software Industry working for Technology Companies in Marketing and Sales. Although many skills were developed during his years in the Software Industry, he did not feel like he was making a significant difference in the world, which is why he switched to Real Estate. Matt finds meaning in his life by helping those around him and loves seeing the families and businesses in his community flourish.
Early on in his Real Estate career, Matt became involved in the Leadership of UCAR, and after being on their BOD for 5 years, he became the President in 2009. He has served on the MLS BOD for the last 10 years and has been the Chairman twice, which has made a difference for everyone involved. He has served on Pro Standards for the past 9 years as an R-PAC Trustee and is just shy of being a Hall of Fame RPAC Contributor. He has sat on the Legislative Committee, the Forms Committee, and the Government Affairs Committee. In 2021, Matt was named Utah Association of Realtors "Realtor of the Year." His 20-year career in Real Estate has made all the difference in his life!
Matt is most proud of his family. He and his wife Nancy have 5 children, 2 of whom are serving in the army, 2 are married with 2 grandkids, and their youngest is 18 years old. Matt is very active, he loves distance biking, has competed in many Triathlons, and is an IRONMAN! In his spare time, Matt loves to go on long road trips with his friends on his 2016 Harley-Davidson Street Glide Special Motorcycle.
